Rane Serato Scratch SL3 Features

The Rane Serato Scratch SL3 has a USB 2.0 high-speed audio interface, 104db dynamic range, 24-bit 44.1 or 48 kHz converters, higher output (which improves its ability to easily match levels of various source types), galvanic isolation which prevents computer noise from interfering with audio path, an aux Input for live mix recording or LiveFeed, an aux output which allows the use of the Sample Player as a Virtual Deck, and which opens the door for future expansion and creative configurations for DJs and electronic musicians. Software switchable Direct Thru connections: less cable required. Independent Line / Phono-level selection for each input for greater flexibility.

The SL 3 connects one or two standard vinyl or CD turntables to your computer and the mixer of your choice. Using regular turntables or CD players, you can scratch and mix files from your Mac or Windows computers CD or hard drive. Enhancments include studio grade preamps and 24-bit audio processing. Pros.

The Rane Serato Scratch SL3gets an excellent 4.4 overal user rating from 5 user reviews. One use says “Serato rocks & is extremely stable & the Ableton bridge is fab“, and another user says “The included international compatible AC adapter ensures its easy to switch DJ laptops while playing vinyl in pass through mode“. Most users say it’s the best option there is.

Cons.

One of the customer complaints was that Rane SL3 is “over-priced” according to one user, who recommends buying a used version of the SL1 instead, however other users praise the improvements the SL3 provides.

It’s said to be extremely easy to use, high quality and very professional.

The Vestax VCI-300 Dedicated USB MIDI DJ Controller for Serato ITCH (Black) comes with Serato Itch, and gets an excellent 4.5 user rating from 11 users. It has 2 large jog wheels and lots of controls.

The Numark NS7FX Motorized Dj-Software Performance Controller With Serato Itch Software (See our product report on that), gets a very good 4.3 user rating by 3 users, with users saying that the product itself is great but the customer service from Numark is said to be poor (as users also say about other Numark products). It includes large jog wheels and lots of controls.

There is also the Numark NS7 DJ Turntable Controller with Serato ITCH Software, which gets a good 4.3 user rating from 16 customer reviews.

Another option is the Rane TTM 57SL Performance Mixer with Serato Scratch LIVE Software, which gets a good 4.0 user rating by 4 users. It doesn’t have jog wheels, and users like the faders but one says that other parts of the hardware are low quality and don’t reflect the high price.

An even more high-end option is the Rane Sixty-Eight DJ Mixer for Serato Scratch Live , which allows 2 computers and 4 decks, and is unrated as yet.

The Alternatives to the Numark iCDMIX 3 Dual MP3/CD Performance System with Universal Dock include a variety of DJ iPod units. The Numark iDJ iPod 2 Channel Mixer gets a very good rating from 8 users at about half the price of the iDMIX3 (but does not have iPod features). Most other iPod DJ units are rated less well than either the iCDMIX 3 of the iDJ.

For CD mixing without iPod facilities, the cheaper and well-rated NUMARK CD Mix 1 DJ Package (See our product report on that), which gets an outstanding 4.7 user rating from 7 customer reviews. It doesn’t have iPod or mp3-CD ability.

The slightly more expensive Numark CDMIX 3 DJ Mix Station, gets the same average user rating as the 2, and plays mp3 CD’s (unlike the earlier versions). It gets poor ratings from about half the users, for unreliability, and doesn’t have an iPod port.

One way of getting a well-rated DJ system cheaper than the CD Mix 1, would be using DJ software on a computer:- you can even get a well-rated hardware DJ console, plus software, all for a lot less money than the “CD Mix 1″, such as the Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 (See our product report on that), and of course, ripping your CD collection to mp3′s is easy enough. See our DJ Equipment section for product reports on other DJ consoles (controllers), some of which are very well-rated, and usually offer more features for less money than the iCDMIX 3, but need a laptop to use them. While they don’t play from iPods directly, you can load your mp3′s into the laptop, and play them using the DJ console.

Another approach for DJ CD mixing, is to buy the CD decks, and a DJ mixer, separately. Very well-rated, but more expensive DJ CD decks include the Denon DNS1200 USB DJ CD Player (see our product report on that) which gets a very good 4.2 user rating by 6 users and includes 4 effects, 3 platter effects, key adjustment, USB connection, and MIDI control of DJ software. The slightly cheaper (at the time of writing) Pioneer CDJ-200 Pro Cd/Mp3 Player gets a very good 4.0 user rating from 6 users, and has 3 jog-wheel controlled effects. For a cheaper but well-rated CD deck, consider the Stanton S252 DJ Table-Top CD Player with Fader Start and Digital Outputs, which gets three 5-star user ratings.

For suitable DJ mixers to go with CD decks (and/or vinyl turntables), the best-rated (from more than a few user reviews) option is the Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer (see our product report on that), which gets an outstanding 4.7 user rating from 13 user reviews. It has lots of features including sampling, effects and can be used as a MIDI controller for DJ software too. For a cheaper but well-rated DJ mixer, Gemini PS121x Professional 2 Channel Stereo Mixer gets a very good 4.3 user rating by 3 users, and is simple but produces a sound which users say is “clean” and does a good job for the price.

For a much more expensive CD DJ system which includes an iPod dock and lots more facilities and much higher quality, the Numark MIXDECK Universal Dj System (see our product report on that) gets a very good 3.8 overall user rating. It also acts as a MIDI controller so can be used to control most DJ software for even greater flexibility and facilities. You get lots of effects, harmonic mixing, looping, sampling, hot cues etc. which enable live remixing.

The Accessories for the Numark iCDMIX 3 Dual MP3/CD include DJ headphones, such as the Behringer HPX2000 Headphones High-Definition DJ Headphones.

You might need a PA system to play it through.

You might also want a dynamic microphone (the CD Mix 2 has 2 mic inputs). The NADY SP-4C Dynamic Microphone is a low-cost microphone which comes with a 1/4 inch cable, and gets a 4.0 user rating overall from 70 user reviews, although get a minority of user reviews saying that it is unreliable, so if you want something better rated, pay a bit more for the Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Microphone, Cardioid, which gets an excellent 4.7 overall user rating (with no negative reviews at all), plus a suitable mic cable such as the Pyle-Pro PPMJL15 Professional Microphone Cable (1/4” Male to XLR Female, 15 ft.) . You might also want a microphone stand or two.

Numark CD Mix-2 Dual DJ CD Player and Mixer System Features

The Numark CD Mix-2 Dual DJ CD Player and Mixer System is a dual CD player and mixer with fader start, an Anti-Shock memory buffer, and ±12% pitch control with pitch bend wheel. It offers seamless looping, continuous play, EQ on each channel, an instant stutter start with settable stutter points, fader start and relay play (deck 1 to deck 2). It has dual RIAA-equalized phono inputs, 3 line-level inputs, and 2 microphone inputs with independent input levels, dual headphone jacks (one .25-inch, one .125-inch) with any-input cueing for each, 3-speed scanning forward and reverse, frame-accurate search (1/75 seconds per step), auto-dead space elimination with auto cue, and a BPM (beats per minute) counter.Outputs include master XLR balanced/RCA unbalanced and record outputs with a 3-band equalizer for master output, and a digital-audio output to a CD or minidisc recorder etc.

It has a backlit display, 12-segment LED output meters, 12V AC/DC power adapter, (you may also power it through a car’s cigarette lighter with an optional vehicle power-supply kit), Automatic CD tray protection prevents doors from sliding open accidentally and during use, and +10 tracks skip search. You can program a sequence of up to 30 tracks and let the CD Mix-2 do the DJ-ing.

Pros.

The Numark CD Mix-2 Dual DJ CD Player and Mixer System gets a rather average 4.0 user rating from 8 user reviews. Some users are very happy with it.

Cons.

One of the customer complaints was that the Numark CD Mix-2 had serious problems for several users, such as not reading CD’s after a while, not reading burned CD’s at all, and sometimes just stopping working alltogether. One user said that it doesn’t have a BPM counter (even though the details say it does).

It doesn’t mention any looping facility (which the 2 does have), but other than that, seems to be very similar.

American Audio VMS4 Digital DJ Turntable Features

The American Audio VMS4 Digital DJ Turntable comes bundled with Virtual Dj 6 Le software. All the audio control faders, knobs, switches, and buttons are “smoothed” which eliminates popping, wiper noise, and zipper noise. The VMS4 (velocity midi station) is a 4-channel “midilog” controller that fuses both midi (midi software) and analog audio control (cd players, turntables etc.) into one unit. theVMS4 is an open source controller that can be used with any midi software, and the mixer includes built-in soundcard.

It has 4 sample buttons per side, 4-channel mixer with volume faders, 62 assignable MIDI buttons and switches, 5 assignable linear fader controllers, 34 assignable rotary controllers, midi control via USB, master (balanced) and booth outputs with L/R balance, built-in 4 in 4 out / 2 in 8 out sound card, x/y parameter adjustments, seamless loop (uninterrupted loop playback), master volume control, 3-band EQ on 4 midilog™ channels and 2 mic channels, track and deck selectors, crossfader assign, curve, and reverse, touch sensitive high-res jog wheel, pitch lock, two mic combo jacks, pitch bend, innofader compatiability, 82 midi controls, high life touch strips (which are assignable to many different functions) and mouse pad, and USB/analog source selects on each midilog™ channel. It can play/record 4 samples, add effects to the mix, pitch bend to +-100%, includes a “vinyl” mode, 4 cue points, and 3 crossfader curves (mix, dipped, and scratch), 24-bit 48 kHz analog audio or 16-bit 44.1kHz USB audio and has illuminated rubber knobs. Latency is selectable to 10ms or 1ms. The inputs are selectable phono/line on the 2 analog inputs (so you can use the VMS4 to mix turntables directly, or with CD players or other sources such as samplers, drum-machines etc.). It can continue to be used as an analog mixer, even if the computer crashes (so the DJ can use a backup source such as CD-player or iPod and continue DJing while rebooting the computer). Pros.

The American Audio VMS4 Digital DJ Turntable gets a good 4.0 user rating from 4 user reviews. 3 of the 4 users are very happy with the unit. Users like the fact that it has a built-in sound-card and can continue mixing analog inputs even if the computer crashes, and also the fact that it’s got 2 mic inputs.

Cons.

One of the customer complaints was that the American Audio VMS4 is said by more than one user to be no good for scratching. One user said that it was unworkable as a 4-deck controller with of the decks having very low level and very low quality. Other negative comments from users include ‘Setting up the VMS4 can be a bit challenging for the average user In order to get it really functioning well with the bundled software“, and “if you wish to record your mixing it requires extra cables hooked up to your computer, which is more inconvenient compared to the more straightforward recording that many competing mixers are capable of.”

The Alternatives to the American Audio VMS4 Digital DJ Turntable include a wide variety of DJ controllers, may better-rated by users than the VMS4, and many cheaper too.

Hercules DJ consoles include the DJ 4Set, which can use 4 decks, larger jog wheels, (but only has 1 user rating as yet), the Hercules DJ Console RMX (See our product report on that), which gets a superb 4.5 user rating (from 41 user reviews), and has kill buttons, loop/bend/fx/sampler buttons, a mic input, and VirtualDJ 5 DJC Edition. The top Hercules model currently is the 4MX, which comes with even more features, including metal casing, even better jog wheels, talkover function on the mic input, 4 virtual decks, VirtualDJ 7 LE DJC Edition, and gets an outstanding 4.6 user rating. All of these are cheaper as well as better-rated than the VMS4.

An even cheaper alternative is the Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 (See our product report on that) which is around 1/5 of the price of the VMS4 (at the time of writing) and rated better. It doesn’t come with a soundcard at all, so you’d have to buy one of those, and while you can get good quality 2-output sound cards cheap, to use the system as a DJ normally would, using headphones for monitoring, you’d need to get a 4-out soundcard such as the very well-rated Native Instruments AUDIO 2 DJ Interface, which is the best-rated option in its price range.

The obvious alternative to the Hercules range, are the other Numark consoles. The Numark MIXTRACK DJ Software Controller (See our product report on that) gets an excellent 4.3 user rating (from 33 user reviews) and is the best-rated option in its price range but has no built-in audio interface, however, the Mixtrack plus the superbly-rated Native Instruments AUDIO 2 DJ Interface together add up to only around half the price of the VMS4, and are better rated. It comes with a version of Traktor software. The Numark MIXTRACK PRO (see our product report on that), which gets a very good 4.3 user rating (from 39 user reviews), and is said to be excellent value for money (and does include audio I/O), and is considerably cheaper than the VMS4.

The Numark MIXDECK Universal Dj System (See our product report on that), is slightly more expensive than the VMS4, and gets a reasonably good 3.8 user rating from 9 customer reviews. It includes CD decks and an iPod port, as well as plenty of inputs for other equipment (such as vinyl turntables, samplers etc.), and a range of outputs too, as well as effects and a wide ranging pitch control with key-lock etc. A few users had problems, including the system not working at all with some computers, and the system freezing sometimes. As usual, users said that the customer support from Numark is poor.

Other more expensive alternatives include the Vestax VCI-300 Dedicated USB MIDI DJ Controller for Serato ITCH (Black), which gets an outstanding 4.5 user rating by 11 users, with most user being very happy with it. It is less than twice the price of the VMS4 (at the time of writing). There are some complaints about the mic input and headphone level (both of which can be fixed by using a small, cheap audio mixer), but mostly it gets very good reviews. So you need to think carefully about what features you want in your DJ system. Is a DJ console (controller) right for your needs?

As well as comparing different DJ consoles, you might like to ask yourself if a DJ console is really the most suitable equipment for your needs. The obvious alternative is a hardware setup, either vinyl or CD decks, with a DJ mixer. (If you want the best of both worlds, see the Serato controllers above, which combine traditional hardware interfaces (vinyl or CD) with some of the advantages of software).

Don’t forget that some DJ mixers can also be used as MIDI controllers for most DJ software. So can have the best of both worlds at once. An example of this is the Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer (see our product report on that), which can be used to control most DJ software, as well as being a well-rated hardware DJ mixer in its own right.

Another consideration is your music collection. It makes sense to make use of music you already own, and while it is relatively easy to transfer vinyl and CD’s to mp3′s it is not realistic to transfer mp3′s to vinyl. Buying new music might be cheaper as mp3′s than other formats, unless you are especially interested in particular kinds of older music that you can get used versions of. Searching music is obviously very different with different equipment, as good DJ software can instantly search huge numbers of mp3′s for track title (or partial title), artist, genre, bpm or other factors, but looking through physical records or CD’s is a very different matter, and if you need to have access to a large amount of music, transportation is a factor too. The Numark Stealth Control Professional Computer-DJ Performance Deck has a plug-and-play USB connection (which transmits MIDI data) and requires no AC adapter. It has a heavy, professional feel in a metal casing, and includes Native Instruments Traktor LE 3 mixing software, plus MixMeister Fusion Live performance-production software. It has a Kensington security slot which prevents theft. It is finished in black slate metallic, and it’s layout mirrors traditional “two decks and a mixer” setups, and has 20 knobs, 5 faders, and 31 buttons.

Traktor LE includes new Beatgrid Editing and saving with locked sync for precise performance, manual looping and selectable loop length, amd a choice of effects per deck including filter, delay, reverb and flanger. MixMeister Fusion Live is a completely radical approach to creative DJ performance software. It takes many of the technical tasks such as beat matching out of your hands, enabling you to focus on the production of your performance.

Pros.

The Numark Stealth Control Professional Computer-DJ Performance Deck gets a reasonable 3.3 user rating from 14 user reviews. Some users like its robust build and usable features.

Cons.

One of the customer complaints was that the Numark Stealth Control and Trakor, caused one user to say “i can do this with external mixer and better“, which is untrue about a hardware setup which cannot instantly search hundreds of thousands of tracks by name, artist and folder nor automatically beat-match for you, nor some of the other functions that Traktor does well, plus a hardware DJ setup will cost you a lot more than the Stealth.

One customer had many genuine problems with the hardware, with a problematic USB connection as well as other problems. Other users had units that didn’t work at all. As usual users say that Numark customer service is terrible. Another user also had problems with the sound of the unit, and disliked the software. More than one user complained about useless or non-existant documentation.

However, it would be considerably cheaper to buy the Stealth, and the very well-rated Native Instruments AUDIO 2 DJ Interface, which gets a superb 4.6 user rating from 11 users, and is the best-rated option in its price range (rated much better than the Numark DJ audio interface).

Other alternatives include the DJ Control MP3 e2 (see our product report on that) which is a lot cheaper than the Stealth (at less than half the price, at the time of writing) and rated a lot better. Cons.

One of the customer complaints was that the Numark iDJ lacks any pitch control, which means that it cannot be used for beat-mixing so is not really suitable for professionally DJing dance music.

The Alternatives to the Numark iDJ iPod 2 Channel Mixer. The major decision when considering the iDJ is do you need pitch control (which the iDJ does not have). A pitch control is used to change the pitch and tempo of one track, so that it can be mixed seamlessly with another similar track. This is used by dance-music DJ’s to smoothly mix from one track to another. Without it, it is not possible to beat-mix. So, if you are not going to be wanting to DJ dance music seamlessly, the iDJ might be a good choice for you.

If you want to sound professional DJing dance music, you need to make a different choice such as one of the DJ consoles. Another option is to consider one of the DJ mixers that allows mp3′s on memory-devices to be used, although you should check that mp3′s can be pitch-changed on a particular mixer (some of them don’t say, if you are unsure, DJ software and/or console is the answer). A good example of a well-rated DJ console is the Hercules DJ Console MK4 (see our product report on that) which costs a little more than the iDJ but provides fully professional DJ features including pitch control, auto-beat-matching, looping, effects and lots more. The Numark MIXTRACK DJ Software Controller (see our product report on that) is cheaper than the iDJ and has professional DJ functions including pitch control and lots more.

The Numark iDJ Live DJ software controller for iPad, iPhone or iPod has pitch control, large jog wheels for scratching, a screen for easy use, and is cheaper than the iDJ. Its user rating at 4.0 (from 7 user reviews) is a bit less than the iDJ, but it’s cheaper, and users say that it’s great for beginners and good value for money (although not up to professional scratching, of course), so if you want to mix dance music, this might be a good beginners choice for you.

The Numark iDJ2 iPod Mixer with Scratch Control is a lot more expensive, but gets a much lower 3.6 user rating, so you would be better off with one of the very well-rated consoles to use with a laptop.

There are a few other iPod DJ mixers, but none rated well enough (at the time of writing) to be considered as good alternatives to the above.

The NADY SP-4C Dynamic Microphone is a low-cost microphone which comes with a 1/4 inch cable, and gets a 4.0 user rating overall from 70 user reviews, although get a minority of user reviews saying that it is unreliable, so if you want something better rated, pay a bit more for the Behringer XM8500 Dynamic Microphone, Cardioid, which gets an excellent 4.7 overall user rating (with no negative reviews at all), plus a suitable mic cable such as the Pyle-Pro PPMJL15 Professional Microphone Cable (1/4” Male to XLR Female, 15 ft.) . You might also want a microphone stand or two.

The Numark iBATTLEPACK Vinyl + Ipod Dj Package is said to be OK for a cheap entry level vinyl DJ setup. Some users were very happy with it.

One of the customer complaints abou the Numark iBATTLEPACK :- “the mixer will die on you in no time“. Several other users (off Amazon) say the same thing, however, there are other users who say that they’ve used the system for several months, with no problems at all, who highly recommend it.

The iBATTLEPACK is summarized by one user “If you buy this and discover you do like DJing, you will need to upgrade. Yes you will learn with it, but you won’t get very far with it.” Some users are certainly happy with it, as a beginner’s scratching setup for the first few months of trying scratching. If you are fairly sure you want to stick with scratching longer than that, then you’d be better off spending more money on better quality equipment to start with.

Users (off Amazon) point out that you cannot scratch with music from your iPod, you can only mix it in as a separate source (it has it own fader on the mixer). If you want to scratch using mp3′s, one of the Serato systems can do the job well (although they cost more than the iBattlepack).

There are no obvious alternatives to the Numark iBATTLEPACK, to buy as a complete package. However, it is easy to buy DJ vinyl turntable(s), and a DJ mixer, and cables, and put together your own scratch DJ system.

Users point out that you don’t need two turntables to start scratching, you can use just one turntable connected to a mixer, and mix in tracks from other sources. Two turntables would be needed if you want to mix from one vinyl record to another, but that’s a separate issue from scratching. So for example, you could get one of the dual-CD decks or DJ software running on a laptop (plus one of the DJ consoles, if you wish) then going into a DJ mixer with a turntable. As long as your DJ mixer has a phono input, you can just plug one turntable into it, and scratch over your mixes. Some of the dual-CD systems have a mixer which can accept an additional audio input, but some might not, so make sure to check carefully before buying.

Turntables

One of the best rated turntables is the Stanton T92USB USB Direct Drive DJ Turntable, which gets an excellent 4.5 user rating from 10 user reviews (at the time of writing). A much cheaper option is the ION Audio Profile Pro USB DJ Turntable, which gets a good 4.2 user rating by 11 user reviews and can be used directly with a computer, as well a being a normal vinyl turntable (although not really designed for scratching)..

DJ mixers

For suitable scratch DJ mixers to go with vinyl turntables, the best-rated option is the Numark X6 Digital Scratch Mixer with Effects, which gets an outstanding 4.7 user rating by 7 user reviews. Cheaper options include the Numark M2 Professional Scratch Mixer, which gets a good 4.1 user rating by 7 user reviews.

Other options.

As was explained above, scratching can be done on one turntable, while mixing is done on another system. Another option is one of the Serato systems which allow you to scratch using vinyl turntables but have the scratching done on mp3′s, thus avoiding the extreme expense, and transportation and storage problems of owning and maintaining a large vinyl collection. If you want to mix CD’s while scratching on vinyl, you could get one turntable and choose the very well-rated and inexpensive NUMARK CD Mix 1 DJ Package (see our product report on that), which has inputs for vinyl turntables on it’s built-in mixer. While the mixer might not be ideally designed for scratching, for an inexpensive way to get good mixing facilities, as well as scratching, it is one of the least expensive and best-rated options.

You can mount the control and drive units together or separately and the two interconnect with a single cable. It plays all CD and CD-R discs. The CDN22 MK5′s programmable playback enables you to set up a sequence of tracks for convenient playback. It has RCA outputs and a S/PDIF digital output. It also has Fader Start, which automatically starts playback when you move the crossfader on a compatible mixer.

It gets an excellent 4.7 user rating by7 user reviews, has anti-shock and includes a mixer including BPM counter, and other features. So that would be a better buy as you get similar quality, with more features, for less money (at the time of writing).

The only way of getting a well-rated cheaper DJ setup cheaper than that would be using DJ software on a computer:- you can even get a well-rated hardware DJ console, plus software, all for a lot less money than the “CD Mix 1″, such as the Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 (See our product report on that), and of course, ripping your CD collection to mp3′s is easy enough.

Another approach is to buy the CD decks, and a DJ mixer, separately. This will cost you more than the CDN22. Very well-rated, but more expensive DJ CD decks include the Denon DNS1200 USB DJ CD Player which gets a very good 4.2 user rating by 6 users and includes 4 effects, 3 platter effects, key adjustment, USB connection, and MIDI control of DJ software. The slightly cheaper (at the time of writing) Pioneer CDJ-200 Pro Cd/Mp3 Player gets a very good 4.0 user rating from 6 users, and has 3 jog-wheel controlled effects. For a cheaper but well-rated CD deck, consider the Stanton S252 DJ Table-Top CD Player with Fader Start and Digital Outputs, which gets three 5-star user ratings.

For suitable DJ mixers to go with CD decks (and/or vinyl turntables), the best-rated (from more than a few user reviews) option is the Behringer DDM4000 DJ Mixer (see our product report on that), which gets an outstanding 4.7 user rating from 13 user reviews. It has lots of features including sampling, effects and can be used as a MIDI controller for DJ software too. For a cheaper but well-rated DJ mixer, Gemini PS121x Professional 2 Channel Stereo Mixer gets a very good 4.3 user rating by 3 users, and is simple but produces a sound which users say is “clean” and does a good job for the price.

For a much more expensive CD DJ system with more facilities and much higher quality, the Numark MIXDECK Universal Dj System gets a very good 3.8 overall user rating. It also acts as a MIDI controller so can be used to control most DJ software for even greater flexibility and facilities. You get lots of effects, harmonic mixing, looping, sampling, hot cues etc. which enable live remixing.

The Numark NS7FX Motorized Dj-Software Performance Controller With Serato Itch Software is a high-resolution digital DJ controller with effects, built for Serato ITCH and compatible with Scratch LIVE libraries. It has direct-drive, motorized high-torque aluminum turntable platters with 2 torque settings. It can be used to activate and control the effects in Serato ITCH.
